Mobo Shift: The World's First Reversible Three-Wheeled Cruiser

A great way to loose weight. Love my mobo shift

Gonna be good. More cushion for my bony butt would be great, but I'm making that happen myself. A, minimum, 3 speed upgrade kit seems a must. Surprised you didn't address that from the get go. It will be challenging to keep up with regular bikes. Overall? Good onya.

I bought a Mobo Shift six weeks ago to increase my mobility and provide exercise at the same time. Assembly was straightforward and took about 2 hours of checking everything twice before attaching anything. The provided tools worked well and were light enough to take with me on outings. I could find nothing comparable in transportability. I ride it for about 2 miles almost every day. It fits my 5'11"" and 180 pounds comfortably and provides as good exercise as my stationary bike while being a lot more fun. The only problem I have had was a tendency for the frame adjustment to pop out to the next notch while under load especially when pushed hard (e.g., up an incline). The first remedy was to shorten the frame to a position that fits my 5'5"" wife. It's still comfortable but has less of a leg stretch for me. That reduced the frequency but did not eliminate the pop-outs. The next solution involved getting the quick release clamp tighter (see photo). The outer frame has a notch, and the function of the quick release level is to squeeze it until it holds the adjusting pin tighter. The quick release clamp has a lever on one end and a setting nut on the other. Screwing in the setting nut until I could barely close the lever still left occasional pop-outs. So, I bought a 4"" Husky C-clamp with rubber grip (rated at 2500 pounds of clamping force and sold at Home Depot for less than $20). I clamped the frame behind the quick release with all the force I could, undid the quick release and tightened the setting nut another 1/3 of a turn. After reclosing the quick release lever and removing the clamp, I have had six rides with no popping out. This is our second Mobo bike that we have bought within a month. My son and I are both autistic, so these bikes are awesome and they exist at a price point that makes them accessible to a lot of people who need them. However, quality control seems to be a huge issue. With both bikes that we have bought, we received damaged wheels This isn't a huge deal, because Mobo will send replacement parts for free, which is awesome. But it is very disappointing to get something damaged out of the box. Especially if you kid has been looking forward to riding it. Or if you purchased it for a special event, and now it won't work until your part arrives. They need to spend some time figuring out their quality issues. Overall, this is a super cool, fun to ride bike. That needs to exist on the market for people like us.

I love riding this bike. Its a perfect fit for me. Im 5'2 and 120 pounds. I love that it is not too big and bulky.
